Today, we sat down with Matt Thornton, Head of Sales at CoolMed Ltd, to learn more about his vision, advice, and snack of choice.

What did you do before you joined the For Everyone Group?

“I worked as a Sales Manager at Glen Dimplex Medical Appliances for four years, managing partnerships with the NHS, national accounts, laboratory markets, and distributors. I concentrated on new business opportunities while retaining existing accounts.”

What’s one thing you’re looking forward to achieving with the team this year?

“We’ve already achieved so much this year, opening distributorships in Australasia, USA & Europe. I’m looking forward to growing these areas and adding more countries to our network.”

What’s one piece of advice you would give to someone starting out in sales?

“Don’t just randomly send out generic emails; instead, research the company before contacting a potential consumer and base your approach on that.”

What’s your favourite office snack?

“Lotus Biscuits – enough said.”

“I’ve done a few solo parachute jumps as well as abseiling off Stockport town hall for charity.”
